Data Visualization Best Practices for Business Application

Adam Mico

Adam Mico has been a data visualization practitioner for over a decade with a decade of Tableau user. This presentation will distill the lessons he learned into five basic points that will help reduce the learning curve for any budding data visualizer for business application.

How do I merge my data: relate, blend, join, or even union??

Jonathan Drummey

Tableau has significantly improved data modeling capabilities over the years and it's natural to wonder what kind of operation is "best" for connecting different data sets to each other. In this session Jonathan will build a comparison matrix looking at various aspects of the differences between relationships, blends, joins, unions, and even not connecting data sets at all for a variety of use cases and data preparation scenarios. Whether you're brand new to Tableau or have been writing Custom SQL since forever this session will have something for you!
